We were asked to take a 100 yr old Canadian boot brand and relaunch it to the American market. The engagement encompassed strategy, positioning, an updated brand identity and style guide, website, photo-approach, tradeshow designs and seasonal campaigns, centered around the governing brand idea of “Built for What Matters.”

We wanted a way to bring “Built for what matters” to life visually. Since it’s such a part of the Kodiak’s DNA it’s almost like it’s stamped into the tread of the boots. So I called up a friend who works with CNC and he made us a reverse stamp of extruded type so we could literally make an impression with the statement.
